Brilliant book on Homo Sapiens' story so far, with a speculative, highly thought-provoking conclusion which sets up for the (almost equally) stellar sequal, Homo Deus. Well worth rereading for me (this second read may well not be my last--it's that good).

Overrated. While not as bad as this author’s more recent books, the arrogance and hubris and general “we did it boys we figured out humanity’s problems and how to fix them” attitude is still grating.
This book embodies the unwitting philosophy of “I’m 14 and this is deep”.
I suggest grabbing a scattering of philosophy 101 reading list books before picking this up, if you must. Any delusions that a single thought in this book is original or deep will be evaporated, and the fallacies will be all tha ...more
