An incredibly well written adult dystopic novel, this book has details that seem eerily too real and possible. Gilead represents a society that could happen if we do not remain active in public life. The narrative styles lends itself to a percolating story making the reader want to know more the whole time. Definitely would recommend it to those who love 1984, A Brave New World, and The Road.

(Audiobook) Atwood's take on power, politics, and gender is as relevant today as it was in 1985, maybe more so. Better the second time, Claire Danes was fantastic.
