Young adult novel (I think), superimposing a coming-of-age story on the background of an apocalyptic event. The earth's spinning is slowing, and our protagonist is a middle school girl navigating adolescence. Well written, short, easy to read but psychologically complex, with imaginative descriptions of how the world changes and civilization tries to adapt in the face of gradual catastrophe. ...more
