Great plotting and pacing, and excellent voice for the two narrators, a husband and a wife. This book drew me in and kept me intrigued. The author very effectively explores the complexities of a relationship and does a great job with the "unreliable narrator" technique (which I love when done well). Where to even begin...great book, love the writing, the characters, twists and turns, and I even love what I refer to as the "Missouri-isms." I felt so many different emotions while reading this book about marriage, people - who they seem to be and who they really are, and life - what drives us to be the way we are and do what we do. So glad I picked it up. I was quite obsessed and look forward to reading more by this author!!!

I'm sorry, I just don't get it. I read to enlighten myself, to escape, to find the good in humanity. I finished this book. It was written decently...not incredibly poor but not great. The story had little redeeming value, and I don't see myself recommending this to anyone.
