What Members Thought
This was my Halloween selection, a by-the-numbers Zombie apocalypse. What it lacks for in originality of topic, it makes up for in style and imagery. Whitehead has a massive vocabulary and uses it unapologetically. I can’t remember a recent horror novel that could justifiably require a dictionary at table-side. That ensured a certain unique lyricism to this tale of the unremitting undead. He also has a gift for cinematic vision - that made the characters, scenes and backstories come to life. Wit
