It’s come up a lot in my life recently. There’s the musical… There’s the sequel… Rebs bought it and despised the beginning so heartily she took it back to her bookstore… Di liked it enough to IM an endorsement. And I’ve been listening to a podcast version of The Road to Oz over the course of the last few months.

First half: AWESOME. Second half: Eh. It lost momentum. Great reader for the audiobook though. The musical is running in SF, and just from the commercials, I can tell they've changed a lot -- for example, a key character has no arms, but, it looks like she's got some arms in the musical. Ah, well...

The pacing is horrible. There are way too many details about things that aren't important -- subplots of themes that he never fully developed? The premise and execution are creative... but overall reading this was a frustrating experience. I kept waiting for it to get better...
