I really liked the first third of this book, but it sort of veered into the realm of rambly british anecdote, which, you know, I never *dislike*, but it wasn't what I was expecting. I kept hearing my mother's voice reminding me to "be gracious" when I encountered moments of problematic feminism in Moran's... rants(?). It's easy to dismiss Moran for the wild heteronormativity, callous use of insensitive words, and occasional phobia her anecdotes use, but it's more useful to acknowledge them, reco ...more

I cannot say why I loved this book as much as I did. It was funny and thoughtful. It made me ask myself why I do some of the things I did in a way that I never had to before.
I do agree that the name of the book can be changed to better suit the content. I also believe that it is not so much a "feminist manifesto" as much as just a memoir. I took it at face value as just a book about Caitlin's life.
