What Members Thought

Almost didn't get through it as it just started out too slowly for me. Ended up enjoying it.

What a great narrative! I loved the intertwining of the two stories, with the Vanger murder mystery on the one hand and the Wennerstrom financial storm brewing on the other. I also really liked the separate narratives going on, intermixing between chapters. A truly captivating novel. I read 100 pages one day, 250 the next, and finished the novel on the third day. It was thoroughly engrossing.

I really do not see what the hype is with these books. I struggled to get through this and have no desire to read the other two. I was disappointed because it became such a phenomenon but I typically don't want to read along with the current fade. It had promise but in the end it just really disappointed me.

There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said better. I liked it so much that on my way home today I stopped at the library and got the next in the series.
