What a punch to the gut. Passionate, candid and powerful, I was sucked in from the beginning by Coates' beautiful prose.
I could see teens really enjoying this book, and learning a lot from what Coates has to say. It'd be good to pair it with a YA novel that tackles similar subjects for a robust discussion. ...more

Beautifully written, passionate, and personal book full of wisdom and pain. I learned a hell of a lot. Highly recommended to anyone.
