Read this for Book Club and it did not disappoint! Others suggest that it's "the next Gone Girl" which in some ways, is true. Both books are about pretty twisted female characters, both are suspense novels, and both are a little twisted. I felt like the characters were slightly more likable than those in Gone Girl, though.

A nice and twisty thriller, lots of layered and interesting characters, and multiple unreliable narrators. What's not to like?

I half listened to and half read this book. If I hadn't had a long drive to listen to the end I'm not sure if I would have finished reading it. The writing style made it a pretty quick read. I just wasn't sure where it was going. There were a few interesting developments, but, as my rating suggests, it was just ok...

Poor character development, lopsided pacing, and a contrived plot....but a page turner nonetheless! I liked the concept of a narrator who could not trust her own memories; but all told, there's not much to this book other than that plot device. Wish the author had fleshed out the characters and built up to the major aha! moments more steadily.
