Having read the revised edition has made my love for Kiaran grow tenfold! I'm so happy we get to have some Kiaran chapters!!
Oh and there's no more "love triangle" too! Which made me really happy. Although I do miss Kam's tinkering and inventions. I wonder why the author changed that?
All in all, I'm just really happy the author decided to revisit this story. (How many times can I say happy?!)
I'm off to read book two!

Too much romance; not enough plot.
Aileana has only five or six thoughts that she thinks repeatedly...the whole book felt very repetitive.
We are never left to deduce anything for ourselves. Every tiny little detail has a spotlight trained on it.
However, it is Scottish and there is plaid (but no Scottish accents. Why?) and some occasionally snappy dialogue, so I will graciously forgive some of its faults and graduate it from lukewarm to mild liking.
