What Members Thought
No worries. "Just" 3*, but i really liked it. I just feel that this book was rather an introduction to the whole series and had a lot of explanation involved (not that i did not need that ;)) and therefore a bit less action.

What I loved: I love how much girl power is coming back! Its a good feeling!

I loved Dimitri Belikov, specially his taste in 80's music and just his personality in general. I'm with Rose, Swoon city!
Mason- Oh, I feel another crush coming on!
The movie- yeah, there was some hits and misses and not very clear parts-But hey, still a good movie!
It took me six days to finish this book, which is my new record-so either A.) I have no life or B.) It was REALLY GOOD

Things I really liked about this book:
1. It has a completely different take on Vampire Mythology to anything else I've read, and that was really refreshing.
2. Rose has sass. I REALLY enjoyed this. She is a strong female character in a genre where more often than not, the females are portrayed as somewhat weak... and I don't mean physically, moreso mentally and emotionally. Rose contradicts this, well, mostly.
Things I didn't like about this book:

At first I was very skeptical to read this book. I've heard multiple good and bad things about it. Finally, I picked it up and gave it a chance. For the first 100 pages or so, I was so bored I could barely keep my eyes open. But, then hot damn! I loved this book! There were multiple twists and turns. Don't compare this book to any other vampire series, Vampire Academy is nothing like them. I promise you, the books only get better and there is a spinoff series, Bloodlines, as well.
