Such a Rush is the only other book by Jennifer Echols that I've read. And since I greatly enjoyed that, I immediately jumped on the chance to read Dirty Little Secret.

It took me a while to get fully invested in the story but the book picked up pace towards the middle and from there, I had a blast reading Bailey's story.

I have read other books by this author, so I was excited to read this one. It was a bit different from the other ones I read, but still good. There were times where I couldn't really get into the story. But towards the ending, it really picked up and I started to enjoy it again. I thought the plot was interesting with a band trying to make it big, but it wasn't your typical rock band, this band did a whole differnt style and type. I did enjoy the way the author described their playing and the ty I have read other books by this author, so I was excited to read this one. It was a bit different from the other ones I read, but still good. There were times where I couldn't really get into the story. But towards the ending, it really picked up and I started to enjoy it again. I did enjoy the way the author described their playing and the type of music they played. The book may have been short, but it was mixed with funny moments and I could actually feel the love and attraction between Sam and Bailey. They were perfect together and I loved them. I did like Bailey and I understood the way she had acted. I did not like her parents at all. They weren't fair to her. Not only did they tell her to quit music because it would take the attention from Julie, but music is her life and what she was trained to do from a young age, but they threatened her college tuition if she makes them look bad. I'm sorry, but what kind of parents does that, I liked her grandfather since at least he was trying to help her. I thought Sam was really good. He may have had some issues and was kinda crazy about making it big, but he was a good guy. At one part I didn't like how he treated Bailey after he found out how her sister is becoming famous and he could have a way to get big with her connections. I know he wanted to help the band, but he was not helping her feel better. But I liked him again by the the ending. Ace was the just the guy who wanted to have peace. I respected him for that because he just wanted everyone to get along. Charlotte was kinda mean because of her jabs at Bailey and wanting both guys. But I liked her when she helped Bailey out and made Ace happy. All in all, they were not a bad group of characters and were an even better band, I know that they are going to be successful with out Julie and make it big on their own. The ending was really cute and I felt really happy after reading it. This was a good book and I look forward to more books by this author. Enjoy!!!! ...more
