Story was good. Plot was mostly new.
I personally don't like high school/student situation kind of books because of the sad society we have today.
The slam poetry is absolutely awesome and Will is an awesome "out of the box" teacher. Lake is exactly who she is and makes me proud sometimes with determination, but still remains the emotional girl inside she is.
I will read book 2 just because I have to know how a story ends. I am all about the story, not the likes and dislikes of my own preferences ...more

Confession: I'm way behind in the book review department because I've been reading like a suped up tornado and haven't had the time to put down my thoughts about all my recent reads. Oh, and I'm apparently supposed to occasionally participate in my real life. bleh

Loved it! But i'm not sure about Will yet, I think I like him but my opinion kept changing throughout the book. I want to read Point of Retreat now as it will be interesting to see Will's side of the story.
