Seriously. Because nothing could possibly be more painful than the cliffhanger that rears its horrid head at the end of this book! Especially since it catches you unawares. One minute you're enjoying a good dose of kick-ass heroism and Ruby/Liam cuteness, thinking:

I really liked Bracken's other book (Brightly Woven) so I decided to try this one even though I have never read a dystopian novel that I've enjoyed.

But now I have!

I enjoyed this very, very much. I do think I like BW better because I will always like fantasy more than dystopian.

I really liked the characters--Ruby annoyed me a little in the beginning (seriously, stand up for yourself) but she grew on me very quickly. Liam, Chubs, and Zu I liked from the first time I met them.

Warning: Have the most painful, agonizing, excruciating ending you will ever read in you entire life that all you want to do is crawl up in bed and ask to your favorite pillow why would something like that happened.

I could quite literally give this book about, oh I don't know...a 1000+ rating, but ya know....limits and all that, so lets just stick with five brilliant golden stars of pure awesome.

No need to express my self kindly when it comes to this book.Because people...are you freaking kidding me?First of all I want to say that it took me a couple of weeks to finish this book because I didn't want to read those final chapters that were really heartbreaking...Obviously someone spoiled me.And then when I knew what was gonna happen,I was so angry and didn't want to finish the freaking book.
