In fifth grade, every day after lunch our teacher would read a book to us. And this was how I first experienced the Hobbit - as a book read aloud to a room full of fifth and sixth graders of various reading interests and ability who were suddenly quiet and interested. And so I asked for the whole set for Christmas, and Santa so provided.
I didn't like any of the other books as much as this one, and this one I read more than once. And definitely the whole series is in need of a revisit. Which you' ...more

I am currently rereading, because I hate being forced to read something especially in seventh grade. I hope it doesn't disappoint me.
