I can't get over the words in this book. I know that sounds funny because aren't all books just a combination of words? But, this book did something else with words--it was like an extended poem. Even though many of the sentences were fragmented and jumbled, I knew and FELT exactly what the words were saying. I wanted more at the end of the story, but this book was not meant to satisfy or inspire. I paused instead and I think that was enough.

I was reading the last pages of this book when I woke up this morning. When I finished this book, I had to throw it away from me because I'm under covers crying my eyeballs out. My eyes are still red now, I can't believe it, even when I explained to my brother about this, I find my voice cracking and my eyes feeling hot again. I love everyone in the book, Hans, Rudy, everybody. Except adolf hitler that is. My heart cracked when Liesel saw Max marching out there and got herself whipped.

Done with Markus Zusak's 'The Book Theif'. New author for me.

While I'm sure overs just loved this book I just couldn't finish it. To "all over the place" for me to want to finish reading it.

Very depressing in nature. Sorry folks but I just wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.
