I was quite surprised by this book. When I originally picked it up I thought that it would simply be anoter YA spin off of the Doctor Who style romance saga where some distant alien picks up a human girl for a companion. The novel was well cosntructed and the ideas where interesting. There apears to be he popular theme amongst these kinds of novels. I would have given it four stars however the cross over between characters is a little irritating, so three stars.
I thought this was interesting. I actually listened to it and the narration was steady. The voices didn't get on my nerves but maybe I should have read this because it seemed the story line dragged on a bit. This is where I have issues with listening to books because they talk much slower than I can read the book, so I finished reading the last chapters even though I had two discs left. I liked it. It's a bit boring until Amy wakes up but gets really interesting from there. There are some twists and turns along the way some unexpected and some predictable and the sex on the ship was something very unexpected in a young adult novel. I enjoyed the budding romance between Amy and Elder and want to know what is next for them.
