I am not a big fan on heavily "churchified" books that focus on the holier than thou attitude, but Dark Divine does a good job of showing that even those who are ardent in their faith are still human.

With a paranormal twist, we are brought into the "normal" world Grace Divine. What we, and Grace, don't know to far into the story is that not everything in this world can be classified as normal.

This book was a little difficult to get into, the plot had several holes in it and the simple fact that it had an underlying religious connoation made it seem like Little Red Riding Hood. Grace did have her strengths as a character, though the Mary Sue tendency seemed to seep through. The main attribute of YA novels that seemed to come out over and over again. Such a beautiful book by Bree Despain, it brought me into a lot of emotions. Anger, hate, love, sorrow, pain and happiness. Whenever Grace is apart from Daniel, there's always that certain feeling the reader will get, the wanting of him being there in every part. Wonderful book, you should read it and love it. ...more
