After having this book partially started on my shelves for years, I have finally finished it!! I'm glad I did, too, because I really enjoyed it. It was strange reading a mythology book by Riordan that wasn't connected to the other ones, but it was just as fun as his other series.

This book was hilarious and thrilling. Carter was such a sweetie, and Sadie rocked. They were so funny! And gotta love Horus on his birthday! And Khufu was so adorable! Damn, that baboon is awesome! This book was just so funny. Just what you'd expect from Rick Riordan: an awesome storyline, with amazing characters, and a lot of humour. Bast and Zia were pretty cool, too. I was scared to read this book because I thought like almost everyone else... it's Percy Jackson and the Egyptions. I read it, and was pleased. What seperates it from the Percy series is the fact that there are two narrators, and one's a girl! Yea! But it is another Percy series. Oh well.
The plot did feel dragged out a bit. I read the book way too fast, so with the long plot, I'm sure I missed something. It's a very long book. Longer than the first two Percy books. You could take out one of the ...more

This was a book different from what Riordan, his book is different now cause it's not Greek mythology but Egyptian itself, the book brought thrillers, actions into the skin of the readers and myself.
