I finally finished this damn book! I'm so proud of myself! *goes to get cupcake*. This book took me ages to finish and I put it down multiple times. The setting of the book is fascinating and based off of a real place which is really cool, but the pace was so slow it.felt.like.I.was.reading.the.book.like.this.

I was so surprised by how much I liked this book! I thought the world building and character development were both done fantastically well, and I loved the unique premise of the book.

3.9. It was really good, just not great to deserve a four star. OK?! Satisfied? No?
Well alright...heres my reasoning.
Why I picked this book up, you ask?
The premise intrigued me and made me put aside my towering TBR and go straight to this.
The power of a snappy hookline.
Unfortunately, my power of being bored/critical/unconvinced outweighed the intriguing hookline (and a hella kickass cover design). But then the unthinkable happened and I became invested. I had to read to the very end because I wa ...more
