I couldn't shake out of my mind the idea that I wanted something to happen between Sydney & Adrian.
That was just crazy, insane and twisted up because that is all against in what Sydney believes in. She would faint and fall down in a coma by shock just at the idea of hugging a vampire.
But then all I wanted was THAT happening. The whole time I grabbed the book in the hope for something, but I couldn't know, there was Sydney's friend, Trey, who's human, and there were her beliefs and stuff happen ...more

Very refreshing, and very different. Rose's point of view was great, but so was Sydney's. Made me look at things with a whole different perspective, which ended up teaching me a lot. I also liked how she encouraged Adrian, and convinced him that he was not a 'victim'. And, of course, Adrian was amazing in this as well, even more so. Jill, Eddie, Micah and even Lee were great. When I learnt that there was a spin-off series of Vampire Academy, I subjectively dismissed the idea of reading it, think ...more

I can’t get over Sydney’s prejudices and I really hope she gets better in book two. I do love some of the twists that happened at the end. That makes me more excited for the rest of the series.
