What Members Thought
Having been steeped in all things Charlotte Bronte for a few years now, this reread of The Professor found me on much surer ground than my first time through. I found the key to what she was trying to do (well, in my opinion, anyway) and received new insights into the characters and plot.
A thorough biographical knowledge of Charlotte really does unlock SO much in her books.

The beginning of this actually felt more like a Dickens book than Bronte, which was unusual. But unfortunately it got boring the more I read of it, and the romance was really not there at all. If you're a die hard Bronte fan, read this, but if not, you can safely skip it.
