Richelle Mead, once again, you've proven how great of an author you are. Blood promise kept me wondering and am still wondering what'll happen next.
On the last book, Shadow Kiss, I've been restless, thinking of the fate of Dimitri and all those drama between Rose and Lissa. Blood Promise has certainly answered them but some are kept unanswered...

(view spoiler)[ Dimitri's 'awakening' is very awful in my part, I often read that being dead is better than turning into a Strigoi, that is where Rose comes in. I love how determined she is to find the man she love and how she left her best friend to find him. As the story goes on, Rose meets Dimitri's family. After telling the Belikovs of Dimitri's death and the unraveling of Rose's feelings for Dimitri, the Belikovs have accepted her as a family and was having second thoughts if she should stay but then, Abe(Rose's father) warned her to stay away. Along the way, Rose meets a bonded couple and 'they' could possibly help her with her relationship with Lissa. So Rose joins the 'unpromised', dhampir who refuses to be a guardian or a 'blood-whore', and hunts for Dimitri. Eventually, she finds Dimitri but wasn't ready to kill him.

Then Dimitri knocks Rose down and imprison her in a suite? So the place was beautiful, not like a prison, Now go figure. Dimitri persuades Rose into becoming one of them but Rose can't quite make up her mind so more 'scenes' are made with Dimitri but unfortunately, Rose becomes a blood-whore because Dimitri would often drink blood from her(which is a part I can't take. I mean, Dimitri, sucking blood out of Rose? Isn't that the opposite of what the old Dimitri wanted?). To know what's going on in school, Rose goes into Lissa's head or sometimes, Adrian would go to her dreams. So here's where Avery, the new girl, comes in. For starters, I HATE HER! Well that's what I said about Mia at first but I already forgave her. Back to Avery, She's this bad influence girl who uses compulsion on both Lissa and Adrian. And Fuck! She made Adrian 'admire' her(Don't get the wrong idea, I like Dimitri but Adrian tops my list for fictional boyfriends too!). Not only that, but she pushes Rose's way of seeing what Lissa sees through the bond. So yeah, my term for her now is a bitch. A total BITCH! Then Rose realizes that her best friend is in danger so she forms a plan to escape and kills those other Strigoi guarding the suite-prison, even Dimitri.
I swear I was crying by the time I was reading that Dimitri-killing part! Aaawww Dimitri... Then the whole shocking part where an envelope was sent to Rose with her stake when she 'supposedly' killed Dimitri then that is where it's revealed that Dimitri is ALIVE, A.L.I.V.E. I almost can't breathe. He is ALIVE!! I'm jumping for joy yet I don't know if I should be happy or not, well, I would just figure it out in the next book.

To sum it all up, Richelle Mead did a great job. It was a very great book. I loved it A LOT and can't wait to read Spirit Bound next!

This fourth book left me in a couple of boring phases and 'just get over this' kind of moments and situations in this book that I certainly didnt enjoy that happened. Those who have already read this book, i extremely disliked the - 'held captive, defences on low' - scenes. Im sure you know what im talking about.
When I past the half-way mark of the book - more or less i cant remember- thats when the pure awesome and interesting actions and events began unfurling, and rose was being badass again ...more

Through out that epic fight at Galina's mansion, I was saying all the obscene words I know to think that I was at school. It was really engaging and terrifying. Gosh! Im'ma start the next book real 'soon' ...more
