It is an amazing book. I really enjoyed this children tale.
Where is the star value that corresponds to. "Meh"? Since I read a lot of dense, technical, and boring scientific literature for work, I much prefer interesting stories with character depth.
Allegories are great, but in and of themselves I don't find them engaging enough to really hold my attention. The best kind of book for me is one that has multiple layers - an entertaining story with allegorical or metaphorical themes.
