What Members Thought
I chose to read this book as it was recommended to me by multiple sources, and most of the other recommendations by these sources I had enjoyed. So only naturally I thought to give this book a chance. But immediately after a 100 pages in I truly regretted picking this book up!! This book is one of the most boring books I have ever had to read! The author has sentences that seem more like paragraphs, and babbles off topic multiple times. Overall I enjoyed it but it was much too long-winded at parts. I have to admit to skim read most of the last third of the book. I understand the satire, I get the vanities but does that mean every character must end up deplorable? I dunno. I would have liked it more if it was 200 pages shorter
