When a book is so hyped up and apparently universally beloved, it's hard not to have sky-high expectations. Well - this book did not meet mine.
I read it, I appreciated it, but somehow I feel like I missed something. Why does everyone love this book so much?

I liked The Secret History a little better than The Goldfinch, but that honestly isn't saying much. If I hadn't been listening to the audiobook I likely wouldn't have finished it, although I don't feel the author helped the situation by reading it herself.
