I'd never heard of this book and read it for book club. I have admit I spent a bit of time on the first page as I was trying to figure out how I was on page 1, chapter 2. I kept turning to the beginning to see if I missed something I should have read. By page 4, I was a bit surprised to have the "F" word dropped twice as an adult yells at a neighbor child. The word is used several times throughout the book. There is your warning.

I liked this book. I read it after having seen an excellent theatre production so I already knew the story but I enjoyed the reading of it. Christopher becomes so understandable in his own words but equally his parents frustration is also well portrayed. Very subtle and clever and ultimately positive.
