Some of this content was hard to read...scary to read as a woman. But I feel that this is an important read, especially with current events being as they are. In Atwood's depiction, there has been a catastrophic event that has led to a set up of a sort of cast system among women where the sole value of a women is in their ability to give birth to a healthy baby.
