The Kite Runner is the story of birth, growth, life, death. It's a story about love, honor, hate, guilt... I can hardly find an emotion not tackled in this story, but most of all it is story of friendship and loyalty.

A beautiful book. Don't watch the film before you read the book because the film isn't as good. I read this about four or five years ago now but recently revisited it when I performed an extract for a speech and drama exam. The way this book is written provides acute description, so that you can see it in your mind, without ever boring the reader by over-describing things. Every word seems to drip a kind of beauty.
