500 pages of the same old Jane Austen, formulaic to a fault. surprise, the independent heroine falls for the antihero who set elaborate plans in motion to gauge her affections throughout the entire novel, each plan more transparent than the next so that every "reveal" in the book is completely predictable if you're paying attention. you have to admire Jane Austen's grasp on realistic dialogue and characterization, however, even if it begins, climaxes, and ends the same as all of her other novels

Written exellently. The Woodhouses are very irritating, but innocent. Jane is a great character.
