One of the most beautifully written novels. The prose is excellent. Nick, the narrator, is probably one of the best narrators in any novel. However, the book itself is just really mundane and boring. Fitzgerald intended this, though. He wanted it to seem shallow, as all of the characters are portrayed. This book really digs at the heart of Americans.
