This book is the hardest to rate of any I have ever read. Let me preface this by stating that I live in the South, have lived here for all but 3-4 years of my life, and will likely live in the South the rest of my life unless something very unexpected happens.

STORY
I’m finding it very difficult to articulate my thoughts on this book. In brief - I loved it! I was swept up in Scarlett’s character and wanted to find out what happened to her and how she fared throughout. It was interesting to see how characters who had been raised in the same societal and social circles could turn out so differently. Scarlett and Melanie’s relationship was fascinating, and for me Melanie was the real hero of the story. She stands by her convictions throughout and is a roc ...more
