Reading this book was like stealing a look at someone's diary,it's so real. It was funny,I wouldn't have liked this guy if he was my classmate but I liked him when I read his thoughts.. May be he'll call me phony too.. The author has given a perfect picture of the thoughts of a cynical adolescent boy. It felt funny and witty when I was reading it,but when I finished it was like it happened years back.. I don't feel much.. A book is supposed to leave certain impressions in you right? I read this is highschool during my senior year. And could not relate.

And I can truly relate to Holden in this story. He makes me feel like we gave up our innocence on the way when we grew up and traded it for harder more painful things. But we really have to in order to aspire to greater things in life. We cannot be stuck in the overwhelming ignorance of of child selves.
