In a lot of reviews I've read about this book, many people have been trying to compare Charlotte Bronte to Jane Austen. After reading this book, I'm not sure that there is a better writer between them. They both write very intelligently and I always feels as though I know each of their characters deeply. Although assigned to read for school I found it really interesting, admirable, climactic and surprisingly relatable...unputdownable at times.. needless to say I've learned a lot - Jane's a fiery character, she encounters life-changing struggles, displays marvellous qualities of integrity...Bronte is herself a fantastic writer on all fronts - I felt like I knewJane by the end of the novel, and the is hardly owing to the fact it's a first person narrative.
