After seeing David Sedaris in Durham, North Carolina for a reading/book signing, I couldn't wait for this book to be released. And, true to form, I purchased it as an audio book. I like reading David Sedaris, but hearing him read his essays enhances the entire experience. My husband and I listened to this book while I was driving down I-95 on our way to Florida and, thankfully, the traffic wasn't heavy because I'm sure that my driving was more erratic than usual because of my outbreaks

I have nothing to add to other reviews, except to point out that the book has nothing whatsoever to do with diabetes.
Sedaris's books are like perfectly balanced candy. I cannot get enough. Must take a break now so I don't spoil it by tearing through all of them in a row...

3.5 Stars. I adore Sedaris, his writing has become like putting on a favorite pair of slippers for me. I slide into his writing style so easily, and find it comforting. He is generally so caustic and adorable at the same time. I am amazed at how he is able to pull this off. This ones comes off as a little more curmudgeonly and less adorable. I still laughed out loud.
This was a great listen on audiobook. The colonoscopy story was epic, and I frequently was laughing out loud, as I often do with Sedaris.
Audio is much better than the print.
