It isn't any secret that I love Mary Roach, and here's why - you know how you will be thinking about something, and then whatever that thought is leads you to something else, and so on and so forth, and pretty soon you are on a completely different subject in your own head? That's how Mary writes - which sounds like it might not be good but in truth is awesome because you aren't left with those "I wonder about ..." questions. She can anticipate what one subject will make you think of next. It's ...more

Very, very interesting. Includes information that I would not have thought of like drug trafficking, which gender is belchier, what lead to the suggestion of fire-breathing dragons.

Mary Roach is always worth the read.

Really interesting. Fun way to learn a little bit about the digestive tract. I will say there were a few anecdotes that could have been cut (from my perspective), and I would have liked a little more in-depth information on things from the stomach onwards, but overall a fun introductory read with interesting information! This was my first Mary Roach, and I will read more.

Also, the audiobook narrator was very easy to listen to and had some distinctive voices for other speakers that made it easy
