I haven't read this one in a while but I do say thzt I have fond memories of it. It was a heart felt but bleak view of the depression and its effects on Tom Joad and his family. This was also my first but hopefully not my last John Steinbeck as I do plan to read East of Eden some day. If I read this again or see the movie in the future I'll come back for a more fuller review.

Read many years ago but can still picture Mr. Steinbeck's vivid and all too appalling tale of the awful dust bowl of the 1930's.
