I first became aware of this book because Merrill Markoe's interview with Jon Stewart so I pounced on it when it appeared on the new book shelf of my local library. I really enjoyed this book. It is the first time I have read Merrill Markoe, but definitely not the last. This book made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion which I think is an indicator of how much I related to a couple of the chapters. I enjoyed the chapters about her mother and the cray mommy stories she told from other comedians. I also loved the stories of her childhood and dating. Sometimes it is nice to know that there are other people out there with similar experiences.

This memoir was incredibly enjoyable. Merrill Markoe is incredibly witty and funny, and the book is filled with self-deprecating humor. Her views on her experiences in the world are entertaining, reflective, and thought-provoking. Her college experiences were very relatable.... And she loves dogs! Great book.
