A great collection of essays, better than I remember "Dress Your Family..." Even though the end of the book is about Sedaris quitting smoking, it made me want a cigarette, which I have periodically smoked in the past without making a habit of. So, um, people trying to quit, beware? Otherwise, very funny.

I read this while listening to the audio book. I had never done that before, but it was quite fun. I've become more a fan of listening to David read his books, then reading them myself.

This was the first David Sedaris book I've read (I know, slow on the uptake, right?), but I thought it was hysterical--one of those books you embarrass yourself on the train with by laughing out loud a lot. Most likely it makes you look like an even crazier person considering the cover print of the Van Gough painting makes the book look like a horror novel, and there you are cracking up...oh well, maybe that made me look 'tough crazy', like "don't mess with the crazy girl, she'll --(insert psych

Although it didn't have as many laugh-out-loud moments as Dress Your Family in Courduroy and Denim, I still enjoyed this book. The descriptions of Sedaris and Hugh competing over who was more ill reminded me of conversations with my own spouse, and made me laugh. An easy, fun read.

As usual, I cried, I laughed, I peed my pants. I am still debating the gift of a fake butt for a friend, but I'm sure I will break down sometime soon and order one online.
