The author obviously put a great deal of work into this book. It is meticulously researched, and her passion and dedication show; though, as other reviewers have said, the amount of information presented sometimes bogs it down a little. I felt the first chapter was particularly ill-advised, dedicated entirely to recounting the lives of Stanley Ann's parents, grandparents, and other assorted relatives in Kansas before Stanley Ann was born.
