Such an easy read - a non-fiction, journalistic work that reads like an adventure novel and is just so compelling. It's very thought provoking, but doesn't fly too high that escapes understanding. I can't recommend it highly enough - you'll be finished with it before you know it.

This was not what I was expecting somehow. It is a fascinating and occasionally funny look at psychopathology and those who study it and some people who are categorized as psychopaths. It has a somewhat philosophical bent about how mental pathology is defined. It makes me wonder if anyone is really "normal" if you start applying the DSM to them. And how much organizational dysfunction is due to psychopaths rising to the top. ...more

I saw Jon Ronson on The Daily Show and this is what led to me reading this book.

As a person who studied psychopathy in graduate school, I found this book a fascinating view of a layperson. I really enjoyed this book. It was a highly enjoyable, quick read!

The first part is excellent. All about Psychopaths.
Then he changes directions and loses his focus talking about all sorts of random mental illness- but none in any depth.He
Has trouble ending the book as well.
