3.5 stars. I liked the story itself; it seemed very plausible. I wasn't too keen on Brooks' writing style. The sentences were short (no problem with that), but constructed in such a way that I always had Brooks in my head, and he was winking and nudging at me. Reads fast. ...more

This book is a satirical view of the future. It was an hilarious, yet disturbingly feasible, view of what could happen with mounting debt and extended lifespan in the US. A must read for anyone who doesn't think we need some political courage in Washington to get our problems sorted out.
