Revisited my high school years by picking this one up again, and I didn't realize this at the time, but the book has some funny moments! I loved the part when Holden is asking the cab driver where the ducks in Central Park go in the winter and it spurs an arguement over the ducks. I could hear the cabbie, in a strong New York accent, arguing with Holden over the topic and why anyone would care about the ducks to begin with. Good book.

I know this is a classic, but for whatever reason it just didn't resonate with me.
