Reading this in 2013, the main thing that strikes me is that it is too partisan against Bush/Republicans. Obama has not shut down Guantanamo; warrantless spying on law-abiding American citizens is more out of control than ever (I'm sure this review has already generated multiple NSA flags), etc. etc. The other aspect is how little young people seem to care about the erosion of fundamental American rights. Of course, this all makes the author's underlying message more relevant. It would just be n ...more
