The main thought I had while reading this book is the same thought I have when reading mommy blogs when the post toilet training stories of their kids: "I hope their kid never reads this." I can't even imagine reading a story like this about my parents.
That being said, there were some fairly funny moments and some interesting insight. I can't say that it changed my opinion on any topics but I already believe that the government shouldn't be involved in deciding who can marry whom. ...more

This is a FUNNY book - essays about Dan Savage's life, his life with his boyfriend, their son, his family, and the debate over getting married.
