I wavered between giving 3 and 4 stars for this book. I'm settling for 4 because this must have been a gargantuan task to develop into a book and I applaud the author. Evidently there are very few facts that remain about Cleopatra. Most of what we know of her is from mostly Roman authors who had reasons to believe and write that she was a conniving minx. The author of this book sifts through countless sources to try to provide an unbiased view of Cleopatra's life and contributions. At times this
