In the final volume of his memoirs, Frank McCourt recalls stories from his thirty year teaching career in New York high schools. In telling tales from his long career--stories every teacher will find familiar in some way--readers realize that he was the teacher that we all wish we had. A story of one career, but a tribute to teachers at all levels of education.
