This is another bio-thriller from the author of "The Hot Zone." Ebola appears again but the main scary monster here is smallpox virus. The book has no footnotes so it's hard to verify the astonishing claims (infection with one virus particle of Ebola is deadly?!). The part I found most interesting in light of current events is the genetic engineering of super-infectious and hyper-lethal smallpox virus.
