Strong three stars, not the wishy washy kind of three stars. It was funny enough that I laughed out loud a few times and I enjoyed getting the sense of where he was in his career during each child's birth, but I thought there would be more of something that I can't quite put my finger on. I guess my complaint that is holding me back from giving it four stars is that I didn't come away from reading this with any greater insight into what modern fatherhood is like for the dads. Not needed. Lewis's forte is deep dives on eccentric people to illustrate complex, important topics. In this case, he just has his own family so his usual method doesn't work and his little observations are more painful than funny, and not very profound. ...more
